Manga UK’s Top 5 Rom-Coms

Ah, Spring. The flowers are out, the weather is nice and love is in the air! What better way to celebrate than with some uplifting rom-coms? Here are five of our favourites:

Love, Chunibyou and Other Delusions!

Love, Chunibyou and Other Delusions!

Warm, colourful and full of laughs, Chunibyou will slap a smile on your face as you watch Yuta and Rikka go back and forth about their feelings. They’re both new to love, and watching their naivety can be both frustrating and lovely – we’ve all been there! There’s a beach episode too, and we’re not too far from Summer.

Nisekoi

Nisekoi is hilariously sweet, it has so many brilliant moments and seeing Raku misunderstand pretty much everything that comes his way is a joy to watch. The series manages to continuously introduce new, memorable characters, ensuring you’ll never know which way the show will go! #MarikaBestGirl

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU

This is a romantic comedy with deep and likeable characters, that we’re sure a good few of you will relate to. Like every other title on this list SNAFU takes place inside of a school, however, the series does so many new and interesting things with the genre that you’ll regret not giving it a shot.

My Love Story!!

My Love Story!!

I don’t think you can have a rom-com list without mentioning My Love Story!!, especially as it boasts the most pure, innocent relationship in all anime – perhaps even of all-time! Takeo is a big man with a big heart and he and his girlfriend Rinko are deeply in love with each other – yup, they’re all googly-eyed, blushing and everything. Madhouse’s soft colour palette and Kazune Kawahara’s upbeat writing bring in very little drama, leaving you with 24 episodes of pure delight.

Golden Time

Golden Time

Golden Time follows rom-com queen Koko Kaga as she dotes on her amnesiac boyfriend, their story is an adventure that’ll keep you captivated until it’s over. You could watch all 24 episodes in one day this Spring, but you won’t be forgetting it anytime soon. Making friends, going out and falling in love is what the warmer months are all about, and Golden Time has these in spades. An emotional roller-coaster that’ll play skip-rope with your heart, Golden Time is perfect for the Spring season.
