The Perfect Anime To Watch On Halloween

With Halloween right on our doorstep, we’ve decided to put together a list of some of our favourite anime to watch on Halloween. There are so many great shows to choose from, so make sure you let us know which titles would make your list!

Gakkou Gurash

Don’t let School Live’s colorful art style fool you – this show is dark! Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster as four high school girls survive a zombie apocalypse alongside their teacher and a very cute dog.

Parasyte is the perfect show to watch on Halloween. It’s dark, gory and features body snatching aliens – what’s not to love?! Whether you’ve seen it before or will be jumping into it for the first time, Parasyte is definitely one to watch on the scariest night of the year.

Considered a modern classic by fans, Death Note could make a number of favourite lists. As far as supernatural thrillers go, Death Note has a lot to offer: creepy monster Shinigami, psychological mind games and plenty of death!

Highschool of the Dead

Zombies, blood and… boobs: High School of the Dead has it all! With its terrifying zombies, over the top action and endless fan service, the show is perfect for a scary night in… just, err, don’t watch it with your parents…

Madoka Magica

The dark magical girl series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, is flooded with Halloween themes, such as the “Witches” that haunt the characters in the series and the “Nightmares” that appear in the third movie Rebellion. Dim the lights and be prepared for a whole new take on the magical girl genre!

Now, Soul Eater is a show that just screams Halloween. Its fantastic art style, setting and characters feel like something torn out of the mind of Tim Burton. This supernatural, action-packed comedy series is a must watch, so join Maka and Soul as they take down evil beings in their quest to collect souls!
