Can’t get enough of the Digital World? Then read on…

It has been recently revealed that a new theatrical Digimon film is in the works from Toei Animation! With a current working title of Gekijō-ban Digimon Adventure (Digimon Adventure The Movie), the film is a part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations and is set to bring back characters from the original series – but now in their early twenties! Take a look at this new visual of Tai & Matt that was released:

The news came to light at the “Digimon Thanksgiving 2018 – Special meeting in Odaiba” event, held in Tokyo on July 29. It was also announced that a number of staff members from the original series will be working on the project – including character designer Katsuaki Nakatsuru, monster designer Kenji Watanabe and producer Hiromi Seki as project supervisor.

Digimon was born in 1997, with its first anime offering airing in 1999 and the whole franchise going from strength to strength ever since. Currently, you can get your hands on Parts 1-5 of the massively popular Digimon Adventure Tri film series, with the final Part 6 coming on December 3rd!

You can also pick up the first four original series right here!
