Dragon Ball Super: Broly breaks £850k Box Office!

Dragon Ball Super: Broly opened its limited theatrical run in UK & Irish cinemas on Wednesday 23rd January, and after just five days has grossed £850k at the UK Box Office! This has earned the film a place in the UK’s the top 3 anime of all time – beating out Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name and closing in on Ghibli favourites Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. With more screenings yet to come this week in key locations across the UK & Ireland, Broly is set to grow even bigger – have you got your tickets?

This incredible result makes Broly the biggest film ever released by Manga Entertainment, and we’re extremely proud that the promotion has been handled completely in-house by our marketing team comprised of Marketing Manager Andrew Hewson, PR & Social Executive Darcy Giles, PR Executive Fraser Overington and Product Manager Carys Gaskin. We’d like to thank every single fan who has tweeted, posted pictures, told their friends and of course bought cinema tickets – you are the driving force behind this film’s success in the UK & Ireland!

Highlights of the campaign include our special Fan Screening on January 15th which sold out in 23 seconds (and generated a ticket wait list that ended up at four times the venue’s capacity!)…
