Microsoft Anime Month: Hidden Gems

Are you looking for something to watch that might not have been recommended to you? We’ve put a list together compiling 5 anime that we consider hidden gems, and ones you should make time to watch! Better yet, you can find all of these, and more, in the Microsoft Anime Month sale!

Zombie Land Saga

Sakura is suddenly hit by a truck on her way to submit her idol application, and ten years later she is revived by a strange man called Kotaro. Alongside other women who have been revived, all throughout the history of Japan, they form an idol group, Franchouchou, to try and revitalise the Saga Prefecture. Can they do it, whilst keeping it a secret that they’re zombies?

Ace Attorney

Ace Attorney adapts the first three games in the iconic series, following Phoenix Wright’s journey from being a novice lawyer to a true professional – even with the odds constantly stacked against him! Phoenix has to think outside the box to bring justice to each trial to bring the true culprit to light, and his trusted friend Maya will help him every step of the way. When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

The Devil is a Part-Timer!

The Devil is a Part-Timer follows the Demon King of Ente Isla after he’s forced to the human world, with no little to no powers and no money! In order to restore his powers and find a way back, he has to make a life for himself in this new world, starting with a part-time job at MgRonald’s and maybe making a few friends along the way.

Wave, Listen to Me!

Minare Koda drunkenly rants to a stranger at a bar after a bad break-up, and is shocked to hear her own voice on the radio the next day. When it turns out that a lot of people tuned in to her personal brand of fast-talking and observations, she is given her own late-night radio show, and has to balance this with her day job and personal life. However, it’s hard to not rub a few people the wrong way in this line of work!

Seishuu Handa is a talented calligrapher but has an awful personality that holds him back. When one of his works is deemed as unoriginal, he lashes out, physically assaulting the person who made the remark. Removed from his comfortable life, he’s tasked with self-reflecting in the Goto Islands, where he learns entirely new sides of life thanks to the energetic and enthusiastic people that he meets on the island.

All these and more are available in Microsoft’s Anime Month sale!
