The Best Supporting Anime Characters

Anime has its fair share of epic protagonists, from the unstoppable power of Son Goku to the badass attitude of Spike Spiegel. However, we don’t watch anime just for the main protagonists, there is always a supporting character we all fall in love with. Read on as we take a minuet to pay tribute to some of Anime’s best supporting characters.

Shoto Todoroki – (My Hero Academia)

Established as one of the strongest students in Class 1-A, Todoroki is a force to be reckoned with. Not only does his control of fire and ice contribute to some of the most epic action scenes in My Hero Academia, but his evolution since his introduction in episode five has seen him becoming less of a lone wolf and more of a key team player.

If the title of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ wasn’t already taken by a certain TV show, then it would more than likely be a song dedicated to Todorki’s immense power.

Levi Ackerman – (Attack on Titan)

When it comes to taking down Titans, Levi is regarded as one of the best. His adept skill when using ODM gear is highly regarded not only within the Special Operations Squad, where he is captain but the whole Survey Corps. His manner maybe blunt, and his obedience to superiors maybe non-existent, but his skill and logical mind make him a legend.

Let’s not forget that Levi isn’t just proficient with ODM gear, his cleaning skills are also unparalleled.

Android 18 – (Dragon Ball Z and Super)

Dr. Gero’s eighteenth android creation, Android 18 is a superhuman that has been cybernetically enhanced thanks to nanotechnology. Her primary objective was to kill Goku, which means she has been built with an abundance of skills and raw power. However, her more human side has developed since her inception and has overridden her original programming to become an asset to the Z-fighters in order to protect the world.

His power knows no bounds as he has decapitated a dragon, sliced a galleon in half, and even harnessed the spirit of a demon to overcome his enemies.
His current bounty stands at a whopping 320,000,000 which is the fourth highest of the Straw Hat Pirates after Luffy, Jinbe, and Sanji.

Erza’s specialty in ‘Requip’ magic (enabling her to summon and swap armour and weapons on the fly) makes her a formidable opponent and one heck of a tactician on the battlefield. Couple that with her proficiencies in telekinesis and enchantment and you can easily see how she has earnt her S class ranking.
