Romance Dawn Arc (Episodes 1-3)

The beginning of One Piece starts here! Luffy gains his Devil Fruit abilities, making friends with a young boy called Koby, and working to convince Roronoa Zoro to be the second member of the Straw Hat Pirates.


Orange Town Arc (Episodes 4-8)

This is the arc where Luffy and Zoro meet Nami, and butt heads with the pirate clown Buggy. Yes, he has a large red nose, and may seem a bit of a joke, but he is a competent fighter who provides a good challenge for the up-and-coming pirate crew.


Syrup Village Arc (Episodes 9-18)

The Straw Hat Pirates meet Usopp on their adventure to get their very own pirate ship. Learning about the plight of his friend, Kaya, the crew decides to take out the evil Captain Kuro before continuing their own journey.


Baratie Arc (Episodes 19-30) 

Every pirate crew needs its own chef, so who better than Sanji, a chef at the Baratie. The Baratie finds itself under attack by the vicious Don Krieg, and the Straw Hat Pirates fight to protect it—and to try to convince Sanji to join them.


Arlong Park Arc (Episodes 31-45)

Nami’s hometown is under control by Fish-Man Arlong, who proves to be Luffy’s greatest foe so far. Learn more about Nami and her backstory in the Arlong Park Arc, and hope that Luffy can save the day!


Buggy Side Story (Episodes 46-47) 

Follow Buggy as he finds himself on a wild adventure after losing several of his body parts in a fight with the Straw Hat Pirates. What plan is he concocting to get back at Luffy and the crew?


Loguetown Arc (Episodes 48-53) 

Loguetown is the home of Gol D. Roger, the previous bearer of the Pirate King title. Of course, this means Luffy has to go check out the town for himself, but what does this smoky Marine Captain want with him? Well, Smoker has a reputation for never failing to capture a pirate. With his sights set on Luffy, will Luffy be able to escape?


Warship Island Arc (FILLER, Episodes 54-61) 

This arc is the only filler arc in the East Blue Saga, and it revolves around a girl named Apis who has escaped from Marine Branch 8. Wanting to protect her, they escort her and her dying animal friend, Sennenryu, back to his home.



Reverse Mountain Arc (Episodes-62-63)

The Straw Hat Pirates head to Reverse Mountain to finally cross over into the Grand Line, but is that a whale blocking their progress? What is trickier to navigate, the dangerous rapids of Reverse Mountain, or the inside of a whale?


Whisky Peak Arc (Episodes 64-67) 

The next destination for the pirate crew is Whisky Peak, and they are welcomed as celebrities. Why is that? Could the citizens of this town have an ulterior motive? Well, Nami better be on the look out, as the boys as susceptible to being tricked.


Koby and Helmeppo Arc (Episodes 68-69) 

We go back to Koby and Helmeppo, who find themselves entangled when Morgan attempts to escape imprisonment. Their actions catch the attention of Vice Admiral Garp, who decides that they are destined for more than mopping up after their superiors.


Little Garden Arc (Episodes 70-77) 

Little Garden may sound small, but it is home to two eternally fighting giants named Dorry and Brogy. They are not the largest problem around though, as Baroque Agents are looking to kill them and the Straw Hats.


Drum Island Arc (Episodes 78-91) 

Tony Tony Chopper makes his first appearance in this arc, as he comes to the rescue of Nami when she falls ill. Drum Island has suffered tragedy in recent years, leaving them with only one fully-fledged doctor—Chopper’s mentor, Dr. Kureha. Can Luffy and friends ensure that Drum Island are terrorised no longer by Wapol and his army?


Alabasta Arc (Episodes 92-130) 

It is here that the Straw Hats race against time to stop a war from breaking out between the Alabasta kingdom and a rebel faction, but the Baroque Agents are intent on forcing the war through. With Princess Vivi on their side, can they put an end to the brewing war, and defeat the Baroque Agents and the murderous Crocodile? And who is this mysterious woman who wants to join the Straw Hat Pirates?


Post-Alabasta Arc (FILLER, 131-135) 

The Alabasta Saga also only has one filler arc, and it has 5 episodes dedicated to each Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp and Chopper. Learn more about the history and goals of these characters before tackling the next big saga.



Goat Island Arc (FILLER, Episodes 136-138)  

Goat Island is exactly what it sounds like. When Luffy and friends come across an uncharted island, they find it inhabited by goats and an old man named Zenny. Why are there so many goats, Zenny?


Ruluka Island Arc (FILLER, Episodes 139-143) 

Ruluka Island is being run by a dictator who is hellbent on building the Rainbow Tower. The crew soon find themselves lost in the Rainbow Mist, but what exactly could be waiting for them behind the veil?


Jaya Arc (Episodes 144-152)  

Jaya Island is home Mock Town, which is home to pirates. We meet the Blackbeard Pirates, as well as Bellamy who is aiming to draw in the New Age of pirates. After insulting the Straw Hats and stealing gold from an innocent citizen, Luffy decides he can stand no more of Bellamy’s insult to the pirate way of life.


Skypiea Arc (Episodes 153-195) 

The crew take to Skypiea, an island in the sky, to search for gold. However, Enel, the “God” of Skypiea, is looking to destroy the sky islands. Luffy may be made of rubber, but can he take down Enel, who wields incredible lightning powers? We know Luffy, and he will take down even the Gods if it means saving innocent people.


G-8 Arc (FILLER, Episodes 196-206) 

When the Straw Hats land slap bang in the middle of G-8, a marine base, they are forced to abandon ship and separate as marines are instantly on them. They have to trick the marines and find a way to get back to the Going Merry, before the marines wisen up to their tricks.



Long Ring Long Land Arc (Episodes 207-219) 

The Straw Hat Pirates and the Foxy Pirates participate in the “Davy Back Fight” games, which see the two crews participate in challenges to see who is the strongest. Who will come out on top? And what is Aokiji, one of the three admirals of the Marines doing here? Are the Straw Hats in over their head?


Ocean’s Dream Arc (FILLER, Episodes 220-224) 

This arc is inspired by a PlayStation game called One Piece: Ocean’s Dream! and it focuses on the crew, barring Robin, losing their memories. Can Robin keep the crew together when they cannot remember who each other is, and they have reverted back to old habits?


Foxy’s Return Arc (FILLER, Episodes 225-226) 

Some members of Foxy Gang find themselves in a spot of trouble, lost at sea, and the Straw Hats take pity on them, and help them out. When Foxy reunites with his crew, he finds out they have been taken over by the Fanged Toad Pirates. Can he win back captain rights with another game of Davy Back Fight? And what do the Straw Hat Pirates have to gain from these two rivalling crews battling it out?


Water 7 Arc (Episodes 227-263) 

The Water 7 Arc drops a lot of bombshells. Franky is introduced, as is organisation CP9 who will cause tonnes of trouble for the Straw Hats. On top of butting heads with CP9 and the Franky Family, a conflict is growing from within the Straw Hat Pirates itself. Can Luffy maintain control of his crew when it is threatening to crumble?


Enies Lobby Arc (Episodes 264-312)  

The World Government and CP9 duke it out against the Straw Hats, the Franky Family, Sogeking and other allies. This will not only test the powers of the Straw Hats, who each grow during this battle, but it will test them further when a dear friend is injured.


Post-Enies Lobby Arc (Episodes 313-325) 

Can the Straw Hats catch a break? After the battle from the last arc, Garp is now looking to get involved! How does he know Luffy? What are the Straw Hats new bounties? And is that a new friend or two? Things may calm down briefly, but it ends on an explosive note when two of the world’s greatest fighters come to blows.



Ice Hunter Arc (FILLER, Episodes 326-336) 

The Straw Hat Pirates travel through the Florian Triangle, which exhibits similar traits to the Bermuda Triangle. Ships are often found sailing without a crew, and many who sail through are never heard from again. What is the secret behind this, and can the Straw Hats get to the bottom of it?


Thriller Bark Arc (Episodes 337-381) 

Here comes Brook! And he has no shadow? It turns out that Gecko Moria steals shadows to fuel his zombie army, and with some of the crew terrified to walk onto this island of horrors, Luffy relishes the opportunity to find new things and fight a tough opponent. Brook gets to show what he is made of—literally—in his first big adventure with the Straw Hat Pirates.


Spa Island Arc (FILLER, Episodes 382-384) 

Foxy returns… again? What does he want this time?! The Straw Hats just want to take a break to relax and enjoy the attractions of Spa Island, but Foxy is up to no good, and they are forced to fight. And what is Sayo hiding in her notebook? The curiosity gets the better of the crew, and of island owner Doran, who get more knowledge than they bargained for!



Sabaody Archipelago Arc (Episodes 385-405) 

The Straw Hat Pirates go from deadly situation to deadly situation in this arc, having to deal with slave traders who sell humans at the Human Auctioning House, but also eleven rookie pirates dubbed as the Eleven Supernovas appear at Sabaody Archipelago too, aiming to cross over into the New World. There are a lot of knock out fights in this one, and you will not want to miss a second of it.


Amazon Lily Arc (Episodes 408-421) 

Luffy, alone, finds himself trapped on Amazon Lily, an island exclusive to women, and who kill men on sight. However, the island’s leader, Boa Hancock, takes a liking to him. Where are the other Straw Hats, though?


Impel Down Arc Part 1 (Episodes 422-425) 

Still alone, Luffy goes out to search for his brother, Ace, who find himself locked in the underwater prison of Impel Down. Luffy is soon about to find out that infiltrating and escaping a high security prison is not all that easy though, especially without the Straw Hat Pirates to support him.


Little East Blue Arc (FILLER, Episodes 426-429) 

These four episodes tie into the movie, Strong World, This introduces Shiki, the first prisoner to ever escape Impel Down, as he begins to set his own plans into motion. What are they, you ask? Well, you will have to watch Strong World to see what exactly he is getting up to!


Impel Down Arc Part 2 (Episodes 430-456) 

This continues the Impel Down arc, which introduces new villains, reintroduces old villains, and sees Luffy have to make new friends if he wants to make it out alive.


Marineford Arc (Episodes 457-489) 

With the battle from the previous arc spilling over into this one, Luffy heads to Marineford, the base of Marine Headquarters, and is entangled in a war bigger than himself. What happens at Marineford shapes Luffy, and things will never be the same again.


Post-War Arc (Episodes 490-516)

Luffy rests at Amazon Lily, and comes to terms with the events of Marineford Arc. He prepares to head out on his next adventure, which is to bring his crew back together.




Return to Sabaody Arc (Episodes 517-522)

The Final Sea takes place after a two-year time gap, where all of the Straw Hat Pirates have grown, and the world has changed. This arc follows Luffy as he locates his old teammates, and we get to see how they have all grown, and what they have been up to. There are also fake Straw Hats who wanted to capitalise on their disappearance. Enjoy that.


Fish-Man Island Arc (Episodes 523-574)

The crew finally renew their commitment to head to Fish-Man Island, and this time nothing is going to stand in their way. Well, Hody Jones, an Arlong admirer, is attempting to seize the kingdom of Fish-Man Island, and he wants to attack humanity due to their treatment of fish-men. Can he truly be as vicious as Arlong?



Z’s Ambition Arc (FILLER, Episodes 575-578)

This arc leads into the movie One Piece Film: Z. The main antagonist of this arc, Shuzo, is a member of the Neo Marines. This team consists of former marines which aims to kill all pirates, and they are the antagonists of the movie. There is an alpaca named Alpacacino.


Punk Hazard Arc (Episodes 579-625)

As soon as the Straw Hat Pirates reach the New World, they receive a distress call from Punk Hazard island, which is under attack by a fierce samurai. When the Straw Hats arrive, they are surprised to see more than a few familiar faces. What secrets does Punk Hazard hold?


Caesar Retrieval Arc (FILLER, Episodes 626-628)

Scientist Caesar Clown is kidnapped away from the Straw Hat Pirates’ custody, and they team up with the Heart Pirates, led by Trafalgar D. Water Law, to get him back. He is vital to their plan to take down Donquixote Doflamingo, who treats Caesar as his right-hand man, and he has great knowledge of creating chemical weapons of mass destruction.


Dressrosa Arc (Episodes 629-746)

The Straw Hats and Law reach Dressrosa, where they plan to bring down Doflamingo. A sequence of unexpected events shake the world order, and Doflamingo proves to be a challenge that even some of the strongest warriors cannot overcome. What better time to unleash new abilities and make even more friends?



Silver Mine Arc (FILLER, Episodes 747-750)

This arc ties into One Piece Film: Gold, and sees Luffy and Bartolomeo as they are kidnapped by the Silver Pirate Alliance, and are forced to fight their way back, with the help of the all-female crew the Sweet Pirates, to the Straw Hat Pirates. It also introduces Gold antagonist Gild Tesoro, who teases the events of the movie.


Zou Arc (Episodes 751-779)

This arc focuses heavily on Sanji as he finds himself entangled in in past commitments and personal issues, which threaten to pull him away from the Straw Hat Pirates. Whilst they are worrying about their teammate, the Straw Hats also must deal with Jack, a pirate attacking Zou island. This arc introduces the Mink Tribe, who are humanoids with animalistic features.


Marine Rookie Arc (FILLER, Episodes 780-782)

Oh, Luffy. After eating all of the food, Sanji trespasses onto a marine base to steal more. The real question is, does a marine base really have enough food to last long with Luffy around?


Whole Cake Island Arc (Episodes 783-877)

Luffy, along with a small team of allies, head to Whole Cake Island to rescue Sanji, who is entering an arranged marriage due to political reasons outside of his control. We learn more about Sanji and his family, but is Big Mom about to let him go without a fight? That is a flat no, readers.


Levely Arc (Episodes 878-889)

People from all around the world react to the events of the previous arc, and the Straw Hat Pirates further solidify themselves as a the crew to keep an eye on. How will their allies and enemies react to the news, especially the news of Luffy’s increased bounty, though? They surely are not going to ignore it…


Wano Country Arc Part 1 (Episodes 890-894)

Wano Country is under the control of Kurozumi Orochi and Kaido of the Yonko, and his crew the Beasts Pirates. The Straw Hat Pirates form an alliance with the Heart Pirates, the Mink Tribe, and the Kozuki Family to liberate Wano Country, but when an old foe reappears, their mission is made much more difficult.


Carbonic King Arc (FILLER, Episodes 895-896)

This arc ties into the latest movie One Piece: Stampede. Luffy sets out on a simple journey to buy some cola for the team, but the Cidre Guild is monopolising it, as they use it in their attacks. Thankfully, Boa Hancock appears to lend her assistance to a simple mission turned difficult.


Wano Country Arc Part 2 (Episodes 897-current)

Here you are! You are all caught up with the One Piece anime! Following on from Wano Country Arc Part 1, Part 2 follows our heroes as they continue the fight for Wano Country. What is going to happen next? Your guess is as good as ours!
